Training Puppies, Puppy Obedience
Puppy training has been a journey for both me and my Akita pup Wolfy; over the last several months I have begun to study various tutorials, DVDs and even eBooks.
One eBook that I found helpful was Kingdom of Pets, whilst this course was not perfect I did find it helpful and learned some great tips that have helped me educate myself and train my puppy into a loyal companion.

Additional Puppy Training tips!
Getting home a puppy is one of the greatest moments that a pet lover could ever have. Imagine; cuddling the cute and innocent looking puppy to then have him grow up poorly trained and disobedient. Your pup needs to be trained, so that he obeys your commands. Remember dogs are man's best friend, but always remember every animal possess wild instinct. They are independent in nature. As a result dog training should start especially early before the dog is old enough to figure its own nature.
Training a puppy is very similar to training a dog.
Whether you are training a puppy or a dog, the fundamental dog training tips stay the same. It is correct that some dog types are aggressive and need particular handling and training. No matter what the nature of the pet, the owner should train the puppy/dog, affectionately and frequently. This means, you can build that special relationship with your pet. Being cruel to your pet will exacerbate the situation rather than improve it, this is a mistake many make which will almost certainly require a professional trainer to alter your dog's behaviour.
In the opening two weeks after birth, you can teach your puppy about your family members. In the next weeks, you can train your pup to socialize with other pets and other people. Generally dog training strategies like socialization, crate training and house training are conducted in the pup stage. While house training your puppy, make certain to teach good behaviours like fixed meal timings and more importantly, proper place and time for defecation. When the dog grows up, the only thing that you have to take care of is to keep up that comfort level you share with your pet. This way, tuition becomes easier and the dog will follow your commands.
When training either a puppy or a well grown dog, it is all about communication. The trainer needs to communicate with the dog correctly and teach him to learn good behaviours. It is also the obligation of the trainer or handler to understand the dog and the message that he wants to convey. Then only, training a puppy or a dog will be rewarding and successful.
Dogs are the most popular pets in the world, because of their obedient nature and ability to learn, but teaching and training them is the responsibility of the dog owner. Train your puppy or dog with plenty of love and care, then you will discover the best companion in your pet.
